Training and Outreach
Education is a key component to recognizing the signs of abuse and knowing what to do when abuse is suspected. Safe Passage provides training workshops for professionals and the community-at-large, keeping in mind that a community united in knowledge is one step closer to putting an end to abuse altogether.

Faith-Based Outreach Program
Safe Passage works with faith-based organizations to increase awareness about screening, hiring, supervising, and volunteer recruiting practices. Focus is also placed on the appropriate course of action should a case of abuse be disclosed or suspected.
School Outreach Program
Schools are required to report incidents of child abuse yet school employees often have questions about exactly what it means to be a 'Mandatory Reporter'. Safe Passage helps educators and administrators know how to identify and report child abuse and provides answers about mandatory reporters' obligations and boundaries. The goal is to encourage confidentiality, support the child and family, and avoid interference with any subsequent or ongoing investigation.
