Every year, Safe Passage helps more than 900 children through the age of 18 begin to heal from sexual abuse in the Colorado Springs and Pikes Peak region. Our Mission Our mission is to help sexually abused children begin to heal by providing comprehensive crisis intervention and support services including: - Forensic interviews

- Victim advocacy

- Court accompaniment
- Access to counseling
Safe Passage also provides training and technical assistance to professionals with responsibility for child abuse investigation and prosecution. Safe Passage works throughout the region helping ensure that all children are served to the best of its ability. We do this because it is our belief that with the right help all children can begin to heal. The Heart of Safe Passage Breaking the secrecy of sexual abuse is the first step toward healing. However, it is a hard step to take. Children and families need support on many levels. They need a multidisciplinary team approach. This approach is the heart of Safe Passage. Our multidisciplinary team integrates child protection workers, law enforcement officers, nurses, therapists and prosecutors. This team combines wisdom, professional knowledge and compassion for children and families.
