Annual Gala 2008
Our annual 2008 Dinner & Auction is the biggest fundraiser for Safe Passage. This event always offers a spectacular evening of fun featuring a new theme every year and a silent auction and dinner.

Volunteer subcommittees are forming now for a variety of needs:

Logistics Committee Member - Start Now: Help determine the location, theme, and price for now. This committee will also select decorations and table signs plus handle reservations, seating, thank you letters, and coordinating the volunteers the night of the event. Acquisitions Committee Member - Start Now: Personally help acquire items for the live, silent and dessert auctions from community members and businesses. This committee will also help catalog auction items, assemble baskets for the silent auction and collect and display auction items. Corporate Sponsorship Committee Member - September start:
Help Safe Passage obtain corporate sponsors and table sponsors for the Mystery Dinner. Click here to sign up to encourage your community contacts to support the critical need for Safe Passage services.

Program Committee Member - October start:
Have fun establishing the program or mystery, including selecting an Emcee and music. You'll also help provide Safe Passage information and design centerpieces for the tables. Click here to sign up for this creative committee.

Public Relations/Marketing Committee Member - October start:
Use your creative talents to help design a save the date card, design invitations, design programs and solicit media coverage. Click here to sign up to help make the night a successful, well-attended event.

Registration and Check-out Committee Member - January start:

What are Safe Passage’s hours of operation?

Safe Passage is open for regular services Monday through Friday, 8:00-5:00.

Who is the contact person for volunteers?

The Volunteer Coordinator is the primary contact person for all individuals volunteering at Safe Passage.

Who should I call if I have to reschedule a shift or have an emergency?

Please direct all questions and or changes to your volunteer schedule to the Volunteer Coordinator or any available staff member.

How should I dress when volunteering at Safe Passage?

Volunteers should dress comfortably enough to sit on the floor with a child, provide juice or a snack, and manage the occasional spill.

We want you to feel comfortable, but we also expect you to dress appropriately for the mission of Safe Passage.

Nice jeans or casual clothes are acceptable, unless attending court or otherwise instructed by supervising Safe Passage staff.
