Training This training is designed to support those with management/supervisory experience by creating an environment for networking and cross-mentoring to foster long-term relationships of support. The core of the academy is the 360 degree leadership assessment of each individual participant and understanding its impact on the functioning of the CAC. This assessment will include four pre-course instruments which will need to be completed by the participant and others well in advance of the course. Topics to be covered include: Leadership Assessment (Leadership Practices Inventory, FIRO-B, MBIT) and application to your CAC; SBI Communications Model and Peer Feedback; Thomas-Killian Conflict Resolution Style Assessment; Teamwork Activity; Creativity and Individual Goal Setting; and an Individual Coaching Session. Each participant will receive a notebook of resource materials, and will benefit from networking opportunities with colleagues from across the country. Extended Executive Coaching. This is a confidential program designed to allow coaches to work with participants to sustain effective behaviors, manage complex situations and relationships, and lead change. Extended coaching is optional. Eligibility Requirements Applications will be accepted from Directors, Associate Directors, State Chapter Directors and other professionals with management experience in a human services agency. Space is limited and participants are selected based on a competitive process based on the needs of the participant and their potential contribution to the group. Length Advanced Leadership Training is a four-day training. Application Fee There is a $49.00 application fee due at the time you submit your application online. You will be notified by September 1st if you are accepted. Your application fee will be refunded if you are not accepted. Course Fee There is a course fee of $400.00 which will be due at the time your application is accepted.
Participants are responsible for their own transportation, hotel, and per diem expenses. Pam is recently retired from the Center for Creative Leadership where she managed nonprofit and community leadership programs. Pam has over 25 years of experience as a psychotherapist and educator. She is currently adjunct faculty at the Center for Creative Leadership and has gained international recognition as a trainer, public speaker and coach. Cathy Robbins Vice President, El Pomar Foundation – brings an extensive background in nonprofit sector management, consulting and training and for 23 years worked as a nonprofit chief executive officer. In addition to her grant making responsibilities at El Pomar where she heads their leadership initiatives, she teaches nonprofit courses at the University of Colorado, Graduate School of Public Affairs, and designs and delivers seminars. Cathy is a nationally recognized facilitator and leader in the field of nonprofit management and training.
