At Safe Passage we support our community’s must vulnerable children – victims of abuse. We hope that in 2012 you can help our efforts, for less than $.50 a day -- $12 for 12 months.
Donating $12 for 12 months is painless for most of us, yet it can ease the suffering of children who have been sexually or physically abused. Here are just a few of the ways your donations help children in crisis:
- $12 for 12 months allows a child to be forensically interviewed at Safe Passage, sparing him or her the trauma of multiple interviews.
- $25 for 12 months will permit a teen victim to attend a 7-week educational support group, where she will receive comfort, knowledge, and empowerment.
- $50 for 12 months gives a child eight (8) individual counseling sessions with a licensed mental health therapist OR provides forensic medical exams to two victims.
These numbers show that even the smallest donation can make a difference. Often the impacts of your generosity – seeing a victimized child play safely and comfortably in the Safe Passage toy room for instance – are priceless, but they are real just the same.
Recovery is possible when we all work together.
Safe Passage does not work alone. We have a multitude of partners including law enforcement, judicial, human service, medical, and mental health organizations. This team approach allows us to keep abuse investigations child-focused from start to finish, minimizing the trauma to children and their non-offending caregivers.
Our team is not complete without you.
